two thousandths.

in any number, there is a name for the placement of the number. For example, in the number 64, 6 is in the tens place, and four is on the ones place.

The numbers after a decimal are the same way, except there is no "ones" place, and its worded slightly differently with a -ths at the end (tens becomes tenths, hundreds becomes hundredths, and so forth), so while the first number in FRONT for a decimal (the 6 in 6.4) is the ones place, the first number AFTER the decimal (the 4 in 6.4) is the tenths place. (remember, there is no ones, or "oneths" place. In fact that isn't even a word)

so another example is .12345

the 1 is in the tenths place

the 2 is in the hundredths place

the 3 is in the thousandth place

the 4 is in the ten thousandth place

the 5 is in the hundred thousandth place.

you would write a number out in the same sort of way, for example, the number .123 would be said/written in word form as "one hundred twenty-three thousandths"

so your number (.002) would be written in word form as "two thousandths"
