The answer is 9/5 or as a mixed number it is 1 and 4/5.

How i got the answer is that you have to follow the instructions below:

2/3 + 1/2= ?

  • so you have to look at the denominators and see if they have a relationship.
  • if they don't, multiply them together and you will get "6"
  • So ur new denominators are 6.
  • Now multiply 3 and diagonally from it is 1 and then multiply them together and you will get "3."
  • Now you have a new fraction "3/6"
  • Now you multiply the 3 and the "2" above it
  • So now your fractions are "6/6 +3/6"
  • add them and you will get 9/6 (an improper fraction)
  • So now see how many times "5" can go into 9 EQUALLY
  • So its 4
  • and that's how you add AND multiply fractions with DIFFERENT denominator's
