The Answer:LIX is a Roman Numeral, in which the 2nd Part of my answer (including a table of Roman Numerals) should help considerably.

L, is 50, I, is 1, and X is 10. Because I is before X, 10 - 1 = 9, 50 + 9 = 59. 59 is your answer.

Table of Health:This table should help you convert Roman Numerals:

I = One (1)

V = Five (5)

X = Ten (10)

L = Fifty (50)

C = (One) Hundred (100)

D = Five Hundred (500)

M = (1) Thousand (1000)

There are also additional numbers with bars, which would be 10 thousands and above. (ex., bar-LXXX = 8000)
