3 - Tri

4 = tetra/quad

5 = penta

6 = hexa

7 = hepta

8 = octa

9 = nona

10 = deca

100 = centa

1000 = milla

Being a 2-dimensional figure it carries the suffix '----gon'.

Hence for a three sided polygon it is a 'trigon' , more usually named as a 'triangle'.

NB THere is no such thing as a 1 sided or 2 sided polygon. . Think about it!!!!!
