Why is pi used?

I am 10 year old and pi is used to find the circuference of a circle. It is used because it is the ratio of the circuference to its diameter more specificly Pi is a rule in mathematics enjoy learning!!

What do you call a line from the center of a circle its circuference?

Diameter deary x

What is the formal definition for pi?

Pie is the ratio of circuference to the diameter of the circle

What is the difference between a chinar leaf and maple leaf?

Both are from same genus but the leaf circuference is different with the cuts in the edge.

How is pi useful?

the way to use pi is to find the circuference of a circle

How do you find the radius when you have the circuference?

circumference = pi * 2radius (diameter) so to find radius you use circumference/(2 x pi) this will find radius ----

How do you find the circumference of a circle if the radius is 1ft?

circuference is equal to the pi*r*2 if r=1ft then... Circumference is (3.14159)*(1)*(2) C=6.28318ft

What is the area of a circle that has a circuference of 35.4?

Circumference = 2*pi*Radius so radius = 5.63 units Area = pi*Radius2 = 99.7 square units.

What is circumference of a circle in terms of pi?

The circumference of a circle is 2 pi r, where r is the radius, or it is pi d, where d is the diameter.there is no circuference of pi. Circumference refers to the outer edges of circles

How many times do you have to walk around a 30 foot round swimming pool to equal a mile?

sinc ethe pool circuference is 94.2 feet and theer are 5280 feet per mile, answer is 5280/94.2 = 56 times

How do you find the circumference of r equals 6?

multiply the radius (r) by 2 to get the diameter (d). so if r=6 then 2*6=12 d=12. then multiply by pi. pi=3.14. so 12 * 3.14 is 37.68 the circuference is 37.68

How do you change the Water Pump in a 1996 Holden Vectra?

Well, it needs alot of handy work , I had such problem few months ago , I own an Opel Vectra 1.8 twin cam , I hope it's the same , any way follow the following steps: 1 .Unscrew the right tyre , pull out the plastic shield over the tyre ,pullout main belt by loosen tensioning roll , use a 15mm spaner or socket on roll bolt and rotate it clockwise , you will need a help from someone to pull the belt out . 2 .Unscrew all necessary bolts (including 3 bolts of upper engine mount), so that the timing cover can be free for 2 10mm screws to be opened , pull out the timing cover . 3 .Pull out the timing belt by unscrewing timing tensioning roll as well. 4 . Look forward the engine from opened tyre point of view , you could see the pulley of the water pump a little to the left nearly close to alternator . 5 . Use Allen key of 10mm to unscrew the 3 bolts around circumference of water pump, PAY ATTENSION , WATER PUMP ACCEPTS NEARLY ANY ANGLE WHEN INSTALLED BACK , so mark the angle since water pump is rounded and not centric and may cause timing belt not installed again . 6 . Use sandpaper to clean water pump cavity . 7 . It would be better to use a thin film of sillicone thermal paste around cavity circuference. 8 Check the new water pump , and the rubber washer around it , install it on cavity carefully , try to press it into cavity by hand , then leave the rest to screws , never forget the mark . 9 . Reinstall timing belt and carryout timing adjustment , upper left cam pulley mark (intake mark) is up pointing to the plastic valve cover notch , right cam pulley mark (exhaustmark) , is pointing to another upper plastic cover notch , crank pulley is pointing to the needle . Have fun
