I am 10 year old and pi is used to find the circuference of a circle. It is used because it is the ratio of the circuference to its diameter more specificly Pi is a rule in mathematics enjoy learning!!
Diameter deary x
Pie is the ratio of circuference to the diameter of the circle
Both are from same genus but the leaf circuference is different with the cuts in the edge.
the way to use pi is to find the circuference of a circle
circumference = pi * 2radius (diameter) so to find radius you use circumference/(2 x pi) this will find radius ----
circuference is equal to the pi*r*2 if r=1ft then... Circumference is (3.14159)*(1)*(2) C=6.28318ft
Circumference = 2*pi*Radius so radius = 5.63 units Area = pi*Radius2 = 99.7 square units.
The circumference of a circle is 2 pi r, where r is the radius, or it is pi d, where d is the diameter.there is no circuference of pi. Circumference refers to the outer edges of circles
sinc ethe pool circuference is 94.2 feet and theer are 5280 feet per mile, answer is 5280/94.2 = 56 times
multiply the radius (r) by 2 to get the diameter (d). so if r=6 then 2*6=12 d=12. then multiply by pi. pi=3.14. so 12 * 3.14 is 37.68 the circuference is 37.68
Radius of a circle is half the diameter. For any given circle draw a straight line from one point on the circulference, through the circle centre, to the opposite point on the circu,afenrece. Then taking a rule measure the straight line distance. That is the diameter(d) Half of this distance, that from the circle dentre to the circumference is the radius(r). r + r = d or 2r = d or r = d/2 From this straight line we can calculate both the area (A)and the circuference(C) by using the following eq'ns/ C = 2pir = pi*d A = pi *r^(2) 'pi' is a constant for all circles. and the number 3.14 or 3.1416 or 22/7 are used in these APPROXIMATIONS.
