An IQ of 100, by definition, is average. The standard deviation on the IQ Bell Curve is 15, meaning that 68% of the population score in the 85-115 range. 95% of the population score in the 70-135 range. 135 is generally the cut-off for gifted in schools.
If your Lexile score is 1230 that means you are reading at a college grade level. In sixth grade I took it and got a 1250. :) I'm in eighth grade now, and I have a score of 1350. I've never really read much, but you should be considered lucky because i've seen many eighth graders with scores lower than that.
If each of the 16 questions is worth the same credit, then your score is 31.3% correct, 68.7% incorrect. Each teacher decides what range of scores will get which letter grade, and it might be different on different tests. But it's hard to imagine that your score on this one could get any passing grade.
A reading score of 1077 typically corresponds to a 7th-grade reading level.
Some schools would consider this as "Gifted". Generally 120-129 is in the superior range. I see it as five points more and you're in the classic gifted range. Good score.
they really don't tell you, either you're gifted or not, the (average) I.Q. of a gifted student going from grade 4 to grade 5 gifted would be (about) 98, which is above average. Gifted kids work at their own pace, which is nice. :) i know, i'm gifted too.
A gifted score on the MAP test typically falls within the 95th percentile or higher, meaning the student scored better than 95% of their peers who took the same test. This score indicates advanced performance in comparison to other students of the same grade level.
The gifted range for the Math MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) score for third graders typically falls above the 95th percentile, which can vary by testing norms. Generally, this score is around 240 or higher, but exact cutoffs may differ based on the school district or specific assessment year. It's essential to check with local educational authorities for the most accurate and relevant data.
A score of 216 on the NWEA reading test for 5th grade is generally considered to be above average. The typical range for 5th graders tends to be between 200 and 220, depending on the assessment year and growth norms. Therefore, a score of 216 indicates a solid understanding of reading skills for that grade level. However, it's important to consider individual growth and progress over time as well.
