Indices (not indicies) have two meanings: one is powers. In the expression x3, the 3 is an index. The second meaning is a counter. If you have five observations and they are labelled X1, X2, ... , X5 then the numbers in Xn is an index.
7 x 11 = 77
You do indicies by multiplying the big number by itself the number of times the index is. for example, if you had 2 2 (2 being the index) it would be 2x2, 4. But if it is 2 3 (3 being the index) it would be 2x2x2, 8.

BiDMAS - It stands for:BracketsIndiciesDivideMultiplyAddSubtractThe rule states that you must perform the calculations within a formula in the sequence stated. i.e. anythign in Brackets has to be calculated first, then any indicies (or powers) have to be calculated, then any divisions, multiplications, additions and subtractions.....in that order.
an algorithm is working code that accomplishes a task. like a sorting algorithm would get an array sorted alphebitically, asending, decending.. whatever it was programmed to do.psuedocode is like a basic outline of a method or a program or a chunk of code. it lets you visualize the steps you need to take to accomplish a goal. for example:psuedocode://loop through indicies in myArray[]for (init, condition, step){if myArray[init] is playerPosisionmovePlayer}obviously you couldn't copy and paste that code into any 'ol program, but it really gets you on track
The word index is singular. One index. If you have more than one, you can form the plural according to Latin conventions: indices or according to English conventions: indexes. Preference varies from publisher to publisher, and dictionaries differ. Either is correct. Just be consistent within a single document. Also, if you refer to appendix in the plural, you should do it consistently with your treatment of index: that is, appendices or appendixes.
