The mathematical symbol for 'less than' is < and for 'greater than' is >

On the keyboard, < is found over the comma, while > is found over the period, or full stop.

One way to remember which way the symbols go is this:

BIGGER > smaller

smaller < BIGGER

or

2 > 1 (2 is greater than 1)

1 < 2 (1 is less than 2)

There's no fun in playing it safe. Why not try something a little unhinged?

As your older brother, I've been where you are—maybe not exactly, but close enough.
