Standard Form, Scientific Notation and Exponential Notation are different expressions for the same thing.

When a number is expressed as a value between 1 and 10 multiplied by a power of 10 it is said to be in Standard Form (or Scientific Notation or Exponential Notation).

3.4 x 10^14 : 8.9 x 10^-4 : 1.2 x 10² are all written in standard form.

15.28 x 10³ is NOT in standard form as 15.28 is not a number between 1 and 10.

When converted to 1.528 x 10^4 then it is in standard form.
