Well that make sense that the gear indications on the dash are all screwed up. The P0705 is telling you that the TR or Transaxle Range switch circuit has a malfunction of a short circuit. This switch is on the transmission where your gear selector cable would attach to the transmission. It sends a voltage signal along a different wire for each gear to both the instrument cluster and the PCM. PCM cannot understand why the trans is showing to be in two gears at one time and turns on the CEL[:'(]. Good 99% probability that replacement of the TR switch should cure your ails. OE part # is FB02-21-444A. That's a zero in the part number. Dealer MSRP is $46.70 so should not be too spendy.
