To answer this we must first write both our dimensions in the same units. So (and there is no particular reason to do it this way) let us convert the km to metres. 0.8 * 1000 = 800. Now we have the dimensions in like units we simply have to multiply them together:

800 * 1.2 = 960 square metres.
