I have investigated this same question in various ways. Basically, an approximate cost about $3200 to $3700 depending on the make and model selected. This amount is for a split system (air handler and condensing unit). You could buy the unit from a wholesaler, install the unit statically and only hire an HVAC contractor for the final connections. This would be the most inexpensive solution.

"Find the unit cost of an air ticket if two of them cost 2700."
It is an operation mode in a Refrigerated Unit that allows a power-up/power-down cycle to take place to 1. Save on fuel ( up to 80% savings) 2. Save on maintenance 3. Increase the component life-span Typically the unit works on the same principle as a thermostat - the unit powers down when the internal air temperature reaches the set-point and then powers on again when it goes above or below the preset tolerance level ( usually a figure of 1° or 2°)
