The digits are the first 10 nonnegative integers (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, & 9) and they are the symbols which make up all numerals. For example, the number 9 is a numeral & a digit, but say 19, which is also a single numeral is at the same time a compilation of two digits in a certain order
