1/2 is equivalent to 2/4, 3/6, 4/8, 5/10, 6/12, etc. There are more equivalent fractions of 1/2. It's equivalent to 1/2 as long as the numerator is half of the denominator.
2/4, 3/6, 4/8, 5/10,...

To get the equivalent fractions of 1/2:

Multiply 1/2 by 2/2, 3/3, 4/4, 5/5,...

1/2 * 2/2 = 2/4

1/2 * 3/3 = 3/6

1/2 * 4/4 = 4/8

1/2 * 5/5 = 5/10
