it is called the ten-thousandths
I learned that in G/T math!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The fourth place behind the decimal point is 10/1000s and the fifth place behind the decimal point is 100/1000s.
The ten-thousandth part
Decimal
1.25(one=1) (and is a decimal point [.]) (a fourth=.25)
First, look at it as a whole number plus a fraction (part of a whole). Then write the whole number (15) and beside that write the fraction (one fourth). Now take the fraction and convert it to a decimal, which is 1 divided by 4. It will be 15 1/4, which converts to decimal form as 15.25
0.25
It means to round the number to the nearest four decimal places (0.0000) for example the number 12.3476589 would be 12.3477 . The four decimal places are the amount of numbers after the decimal dot. For the fourth number after the decimal point, if the number after it is 5 or higher, than you round up to the next decimal number. If it is below five, you leave it as it is. If the fourth number is nine and the next one is eight for example, you also rise the third number as well as the fourth.
The fourth place behind the decimal point is 10/1000s and the fifth place behind the decimal point is 100/1000s.
The ten-thousandth part
The fourth number in the decimal 5.248318 is 3. This is determined by counting the digits from the left, starting with the digit before the decimal point. In this case, the sequence of digits is 5 (first), 2 (second), 4 (third), and 3 (fourth).
The number to the left of a decimal point is the integer part or the whole-number part. The part of a decimal to the right of the decimal point is the fractional part. The decimal point is called the decimal separator.
It is a terminating decimal.
A quarter
two and one-fourth as a decimal = 2.25
When rounding a number to three decimal places, we look at the fourth decimal place. In this case, the fourth decimal place is 7, which is equal to or greater than 5. Therefore, we round up the last digit in the third decimal place. So, 0.8127 rounded to three decimal places is 0.813.
Seventy-three ten thousandths is written as 0.0073 in decimal form. This is because "ten thousandths" refers to the fourth decimal place. Therefore, the number 73 is placed in the fourth position after the decimal point.
One fourth, or 1/4. Also 0.25, in decimal notation.
