Median is finding the center of a line of some values. The values have to list in ascending order. When there are an odd amount of numbers: the median is the middle number. Example: find the Median of {12, 3, 5}. Put them in order: {3, 5, 12}. The middle number is 5, so the median is 5. When there are an even amount of numbers: There will be two numbers in the middle; the median in this case is the mean (average) of these two. Example: find the Median of {3, 5, 7, 12, 13, 14, 21, 23, 23, 23, 23, 29, 40, 56}. There are now 14 numbers and so we have a pair of middle numbers and the middle numbers are 21 and 23.
