There are 3 rules :-
1) The last number of the multiplicand (the number being multiplied) is put down as the right hand figure of the answer.
2) Each successive number of the multiplicand is added to its right hand neighbour.
3) The first number of the multiplicand becomes the left hand number of the answer.
Example : 753 x 11
Applying Rule 1) then 3 becomes the r.h. figure.
Rule 2) 5 + 3 = 8. we now have 83
Rule 2) 7 + 5 = 12, just as in normal addition carry the 1 forward, we now have 283
Rule 3) 7 but as we have a carry forward this becomes 7 + 1 = 8, we now have 8283
Answer 753 x 11 = 8283.
11
The product of two numbers is obtained by multiplying them. 12*11=121
In all of these cases the result is positive.
Fractions and decimals are usually rational numbers. Besides, multiplying rational and irrational numbers is also similar.
no
Yes. Integers, Real Numbers, and even Complex Numbers can as well.
11
A general rule for multiplying fractions: You shall not multiply the denominator by the whole number, only the numerator.Another rule is you shall make the whole number as a fraction by putting the whole number as the numerator and 1 as the denominator before multiplying it.
2*11
The product of two numbers is obtained by multiplying them. 12*11=121
In all of these cases the result is positive.
The rule is put another 9 on the back of the 9, it should look like this 99.
Fractions and decimals are usually rational numbers. Besides, multiplying rational and irrational numbers is also similar.
286 = 2 x 11 x 13
Positive A simple rule to remember this is when multiplying two numbers with the same sign, the result is ALWAYS positive. When multiplying two numbers with different signs, the results is ALWAYS negative.
If the two numbers have different signs, then the result will be negative. If the two numbers have the same signs, the result will be positive. This assumes all the numbers are non-zero.
The result of multiplying numbers is called the product.
