What is the 12 foot?
It could be the radius or diameter of the inscribed or circumscribed circles.
Or it could be the length of each side.
There are thus three solutions depending on above parameters.
The hexagon must be a regular hexagon.
Let R = radius of circumscribed circle in feet
Let r = radius of inscribed circle in feet
Let s = length of one of the sides in feet
Then area in square feet = 2.598*s2 or 2.598*R2 or 3.464*r2
(R = s = 1.155*r where 1.155 = 1 / sin 60 degr.)
The shortened formula 2.598*s2 is obtained as follows:
There are six equilateral triangles in a regular hexagon when three lines are drawn connecting opposite corners.
Therefore the area is the sum of the six triangles.
Each triangle area is 1/2 base x height.
Therefore each A = 0.5s x (sqrt of 3 x 0.5s) = 0.25s2 x sqrt of 3 = 0.433s2
So 6 triangles will be 6 x 0.433s2 = 2.598s2
Multiply 14 X 12 168 sq ft
(Height x Length) ÷ 2 = Triangle Square Footage(48" X 48") ÷ 2 = 1152" sq. in. (convert sq. inches to sq. feet) 1152" ÷ 144 = 8 square feet
121 sq. Foot
Square footage is calculated by multiplying the length x the width. 12 ft. x 13 ft. = 156 square feet. - - - memurphy5
the sq. footage of the circle would be 3.14(radius squared). if the diameter is 200ft, then the radius is 100ft. So, 3.14(100x100)= 3.14(10,000)= 31,400 sq. feet
12x17=204
The square footage of the room is determined by the floor dimensions. So if you have a 12 x 20 room the square footage is 240 square feet.
12 sq ft
72 sq. ft
324 sq. ft.
171/12*97/12 = 163103/144 sq feet (approx 163.72 sq ft).
16 * 12 = 192 sq feet.
11*12 = 132 sq feet.
25ft x 12ft = 300 sq ft.
(12 m) x 12 m = 1,550.0031 sq feet
It is 12 x 8 = 96 sq. ft.
It is 374.12 sq inches.
