The lowest term of 3/9 is 1/3.

Basically find the least common factor (LCF) of 3 and 9 and divide both the numerator and the denominator by LCF.

Another example is 2/4.

LCF = 2

(2/2)/(4/2) = 1/2

1/2 is the lowest term of 2/4.
