What are the is activity of plant cells in the dark and in the sunlight?

In the dark, plant cells undergo respiration to release energy from stored sugars. In sunlight, plant cells undergo photosynthesis to convert light energy into chemical energy in the form of sugars. They also produce oxygen as a byproduct in the presence of sunlight.

Why is it not possible to demonstrate respiration in green plant kept in sunlight?

A plant respires in the dark.

Why can't a plant photosynthesise in darkness?

Well, firstly, sunlight is the key ingredient for photosynthesis and obviously in the dark there is no sunlight. Sunlight is trapped be the chloroplasts in the leaves of the plant and is used to produce glucose and carbon dioxide.

Do plants grow faster in sunlight or dark?

Plants grow faster in sunlight because they need sunlight for photosynthesis, which is the process that allows plants to convert light into energy. Without sunlight, plants cannot produce the energy they need to grow. In the dark, plants may not be able to photosynthesize effectively, leading to slower growth rates.

Can a plant grow faster in the dark then the light?

a plant in the dark will grow faster but it's not going to last long because it does not have sunlight. sunlight is what make a plant grow and it would not be the same because it does not have chlorphyll so it will not be green. so we will know it going to be a different color.

Do plant grow well in a dark place?
