If by grade you mean percentage, you would have scored 67.5%. 40-13= 27 (27/40) * 100
You would most likely count each question as one point and then calculate the percentage. For example, if one were to get 9 question right out of 13, it would be 9/13, or 9 ÷ 13. This comes out to be about 69%, or a D+.
13 ÷ 15 = 0.866666.... or 86 2/3 % which rounds to a grade of 87.
13 wrong out of 85 is 72 correct. So percentage score = 100*72/85 = 84.7%
2 wrong out of 13 means 11 right out of 13 11/13 = 84.6% This typically translates to a solid B on many, if not most, grading scales. At Hogwarts it would probably be an A (Acceptable) - or possibly E (Exceeds Expectations) YMMV

13 - 4 = 9 correct 9/13 x 100 = 69% (rounded)
if you are 12-13 you will be in seventh grade and if you are 13-14 you will be eighth grade

Max is about 16. He got left back in 7th grade twice, that would make him 15 and it has been a year since Freak died. Even though he is in the 8th grade, he is 16.
a 13 year old would normally be in 7th or 8th grade depending on whether or not they were born before September.
