1,000,000,000 minutes ago would be around the year 108.
How to work it out:
1,000,000,000 minutes / 60 = 16,666,667 hours
16,666,667 hours / 24 = 694,444 days
694,444 days / 365 = 1,902 years
2010 - 1901 = 108
* note this is a rough working out, not exact figures, all numbers have been rounded, and leap years haven't been taken account.
There are 60 seconds in a minute and sixty minutes in an hour, so each hour is 3600 seconds. Multiply 24 to get days, and then 365.25 to get years, accounting for leap years. This is 31,557,600 seconds per year. Divide 1,000,000,000 seconds by 31,557,600 seconds per year, and you get 31 years, 251 days, 7 hours, 46 minutes and 40 seconds. (Why didn't I figure out the months? Because the months aren't equal!)
1 Gyr is 1 billion years, so 2.8 Gyr is 2.8 billion years ago.
It is 2011 now :')And 45 years ago it would have been 1966
3 hours = 3 hours PAST 12 o'clock = (3 x 1 billion) - 4.6 billion = 3 billion - 4.6 billion = -1.6 billion years = 1.6 billion years ago6 hours = 6 hours PAST 12 o'clock = -1.6 billion years + (3 x 1 billion) = -1.6 billion + 3 billion = 1.4 billion years ago
was year was it 1 decade ago
1 billion minutes ago was the year 110 . 1 billion minutes later will be the year 3913 .
As of now (23 January 2013), it would be the year 111.
It is currently 2008...Since there was no Year Zero, it was 999997993 B.C. one billion years ago. Or, if you prefer the Long Scale (non-American) definition of a billion, it was 999999997993 B.C.
A.A billion seconds ago it was 1959.B.A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.C.A billion hours ago our ancestors wereliving in the Stone Age.D.A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
1000000000 minutes ago would be approximately 1902 AD.
1 billion minutes is equal to 1902.6 years. The Roman Empire was roughly at its peak of power.
One billion seconds ago is roughly the equivalent of 31.7 years ago, using the US definition of one billion. One billion is one thousand millions.
That was about 114,155 years ago, or 112,142 BC
year 1991.
* A tightly-packed stack of new $1,000 bills totaling $1 billion would be 63 miles high. In comparison, jet planes fly at 30,000 - 40,000 feet (5.7 - 7.7 miles high). * About a billion minutes ago, the Roman Empire was in full swing. (One billion minutes is about 1,900 years.) * About a billion hours ago, we were living in the Stone Age. (One billion hours is about 114,000 years.) * About a billion months ago, dinosaurs walked the earth. (One billion months is about 82 million years.) * A billion inches is 15,783 miles, more than halfway around the earth (circumference).
The Big Bang theory, google it. Edit : OK, but what's "Answers" for then? Anyway, I agree it's a big question. I'll let someone else have a go at it. I would just point out that the Big Bang is reckoned to have been about 13.7 billion years ago. That number of 4.6 billion seems to relate to the age of the solar system. Perhaps that's what the question is meant to be about.
