Dollar signs and commas are controlled through the format menu. You need to enter the decimal point. The format menu allows you to choose how many digits are to follow the decimal point.

You can achieve this format using the following custom number format: "$#,##0.00". This format will display the dollar sign to the left of the number and insert commas for thousands separator.
