I'm not sure on this but i would have to say "B" because I think it is closer to the Earths crust. If it is, that is because the crust is the coldest layer of Earth. Usually it is most dense when coldest. that is because particles are closer together than when warmer. (if you would go down into the earths layers it would increase by 1*C until you got to the core)
