If you really aren't interested in going to a better college, just tell your parents you'd rather not get a good school and to please get you into a regular math class instead. Of course, you should be prepared to defend your ideas and give your parents some indication that you have really thought this through. You could tell them what sort of job you really want that doesn't take higher math, for example.

A bachelors in math may be theoretical or applied. Theoretical has to do with computation of abstract thought such as probability, chaos theory, Calculus theory, etc.Applied math has to do with things like engineering, computational biology, computer math and the like.
