Leonhard Euler was a Swiss mathematician and physicist. He introduced the majority of today's mathematical terminology and is considered one of the best mathematicians. He lived from 1707-1783.
hi how are you doing today
Leibniz and Newton are credited with inventing calculus. They made their discoveries independently at about the same time. Leibniz invented the dx/dy notation used today . He also made other contributions to math.
The Balylonians (around 400BC) first developed the algorithmic method for completing the square. But they didn't do it using equations, which they had no concept of, just a set of rules for particular cases. The Greeks, such as Euclid, showed geometrical proofs of the method. But it wasn't until the Persian mathematician al-Khawarizmi in the 9th century that the general algorithm was written down. Even this wasn't done using symbols like we use in algebra today but written out in prose.
It used to stand for Personal Home Page but today, the first P is dropped and stands for Hypertext Processor
The mathematician who formalised differential calculus and who is responsible for the notation in use today is Gottfried Leibniz. However, in has calculation of pi, Aristotle used the principle of convergent series and limits more than 2000 years earlier.

The first computer closely related to today's computer was invented by Charles Babbage between 1833 and 1871. Babbage was a British mathematician. Konrad Zuse was the inventor of the first programmable computer.
