Because 0 over 1 would be the reciprical, and you can't multiply to get the opposite of 0. O doesn't have an opposite. Duh!!!! I am in 8th grade algebra and even I knew that. ;)

I'm in the 7th grade doing 9th grade algebra, college grammar, writing, and science, and 12th grade history, And I didn't know this. Don't bash people for what they don't know. D0:
