The question is basically meaningless. It's like asking "Why is 2 more than 1 ?"
Here are a couple of ways you can tell which one is greater:
- 1.23 has something before the decimal point, so it's more than ' 1 '.
But 0.123 has nothing before the decimal point, so it's less than ' 1 '.
So 1.23 must be bigger.
- If you divide 1.23 by 0.123 , you get 10.
That's how many times 0.123 can go into 1.23, so 1.23 must be bigger.
Nope... 123 is LESS than 132 !
For instance 123.
> less than
114p or £1.14
0.3 is greater than 0.123 because 0.3 = 3/10 and 0.123 = 123/1000 which is smaller than 3/10
fraction for 0.0123 = 123/100000.0123 * 10000/10000 = 123/10000
0123 is treated as octal so o123=83(decimal equivalent) diffrence is 123-83=40
.0123 is closer to zero than .023. If you round it to hundredths, it would be .01 or .02. Its easier to think of this way. 1 is closer to zero than 2.

Nope... 123 is LESS than 132 !
123 degrees is an obtuse angle because it is greater than 90 but less than 180 degrees
For instance 123.
> less than
101 and 103
