Should be stamped on the barrel, if not, you should take it to a competant gun smith to have it checked
For the Stoeger side-by-side shotgun, your best bet would be to use any of the standard Winchester choke tubes. They should fit well for you shotgun.
They came in various barrel lengths and choke combinations. If it is not marked on the side of the barrel, you will have to pattern the shotgun to determine the choke
They are located on the left side of the barrel * designates full choke (F). *- designates improved modified choke (IM). ** designates modified choke (M). **- designates improved cylinder choke (IC). **$ designates skeet (SK). *** designates cylinder bore (CYL).
(ON REAR LEFT-SIDE OF BARREL) '*' designates full choke (F). '*-' designates improved modified choke (IM). '**' designates modified choke (M). '**-' designates improved cylinder choke (IC). '**$' designates skeet (SK). '***' designates cylinder bore (CYL).
sure can .I know many who do.
you do not operate choke chokes have different settings for different shot spread and pattern you can change this if the gun has changable chokes if changable the choke screws off and you screw different choke on Yes you do operate this choke, I own one.! It has markings on side. Its what is called a poly choke You can crank it closed for Full choke or twist it open Hope this helps
What am I missing here? You want to know when it was made but you say the date made is engraved on the forearm? Looking through the store brand cross over list, the only Spanish maker of Sears shotguns I find is Laurona. Laurona was founded in 1941 and manufactured side-by-side shotguns until 1978. The Model 13 was a boxlock sold through Sears & Roebuck, and most boxlock doubles look similar.
Need to know if it is an Over/Under, Pump, Semi-Auto or Side by Side. Gauge, barrel length and choke would be helpful.
AnswerEarly Stevens shotguns did not have choke markings.sales@countrygunsmith.netOn my Savage semi-autos, a model 755A and 775A, the chokes are marked with an asterisk on the rear left side of the barrel. One for full, two for mod., three for IC.
I do not know but will know in a month I put it in a wwII gun auction.
I think those were made by Zabala Hermanos. Typical marks are *** = imp. cylinder and ****=modified. However, a gunsmith with a bore gauge should be able to give you a true answer in about 30 seconds.
