Well after reading a bit about slavery in Aristotle's "Politics" I came to have a different understanding for it. If you separate yourself from what you know about the atrocities committed under the name of slavery and think in philosophical terms, there is a way to justify it. I'll answer you're question with a question: Would you think it is OK to have a slave if to achieve both the slave and master's goal it is their advantage to have this symbiotic relationship?
