It is easier to see this with 3 and 6. The idea with 7 and 6 is exactly the same, but no quite as easy to see. 6 divided by 3 is asking how many 3 there are in 6? There are 2 of them so 6 divided by 3 equals 2. 3 divided by 6 asks how many 6's there are in 3? We know there is only half of a six, that is to say, 3 in one 3. So 3 divided by 6 is 1/2. 6 divided by 7 asks how many 7's in 6? There is not even a whole 7 in 6, since we are 1 short of 7. We can write it as a fraction 6/7 which is less than 1. One is 7/7 by the way. But 7 divided by 6 is one 6 with something left over. The something is 1/6 so it is 1 and 1/6 1 and 1/6 is the same as 7/6.
No it's not and you can know that if you divided 35 and 6 and you see that is not going to finish! I'm smart!

6 divided by 6 = 1 and 6 divided by 1 = 6 But also 6 divided by 2 = 3 and 6 divided by 3 = 2 Prime numbers can only be divided by itself and 1
help
1/6
( 6 feet) / (3/4 foot) = 8 (no unit) See discussion.
Working backwards, 9 x 6 = 54 then 54 + 12 = 66 Check: x = 66 so x - 12 = 54 and 54 / 6 = 9 Working backwards means start from end of question, and also reverse what to do with the numbers. So divided become multiplied, and minus becomes plus.
