Our system of measuring time isn't based on decimals.
What error?
It's not an error, by writing in decimals one may try to explain time in fractions. Just multiply the decimal part with sixty and you will be able to convert the fraction part in minutes.
For example: 0.5 hours * 60 = 30 minutes.
There are: 270/60 = 4.5 hours
30 minutes is 1/2 or 0.5 hours, so 3 hours 30 minutes is 3.5 hours
Convert to hours (in decimals), the divide by 24 to convert to days.
since there are 60 minutes in one hour then 40 minutes is 40/60 = 2/3 hour = 0.667 hours, so 9 hours and 40 minutes is 9.667 hours
No, because two decimals reference a number out of one hundred, but there are only 60 minutes in an hour. So (0.15 of an hour) * (60 minutes) = 9 minutes.
There are: 270/60 = 4.5 hours
It is: 1.25 hours
6.25 hours or 375.0 minutes
30 minutes is 1/2 or 0.5 hours, so 3 hours 30 minutes is 3.5 hours

You can write 2.5 hours. This is the same as 25/10 hours. 1/10 of an hour is 6 minutes so 5/10 is 30 minutes. 2.5 hours is the same as writing 2hours 30 minutes. 3.75 hours = 3 hours 45 minutes 1.25 hours = 1 hour 15 minutes etc etc
The LCM refers to integers, not decimals.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this: I think if you put 9.25 hours, you would be correct in saying that 9 and a quarter hours (or 9 hours and 15 minutes) is how long you worked.

To convert the number of hours, directly put it into the decimal without change; To convert the number of minutes to decimals, divide by 60: Decimal value = Minutes/60; To convert the number of seconds to decimals, divide by 3600: Decimal value = Seconds/3600 Complete formula: Decimal value = Degrees+(Minutes/60)+(Seconds/3600)
