An acre is 4840 square yards; multiply that by 24 to get the square yards in 24 acres. If you want the answer in feet, multiply the result by 9.Then, assuming you want a rectangle of that area, choose ANY positive number for one side - call it the width. Divide the area by that number to get the other side (the length).

Knowing the area doesn't tell you the dimensions. It doesn't even tell you the shape.

Each acre has 43,560 square feet of area. It can be any shape with any dimensions,
as long as it encloses that area.

Here are a few possibilities:

-- If the 24 acres is a circle, its diameter is 1,153.7 feet. (rounded)

-- If the 24 acres is a square, each side of it is 1,022.5 feet. (rounded)

-- If the 24 acres is a rectangle that's 3 feet wide, then it's 348,480 feet (66 miles) long.

Besides these three possibilities, there are an infinite number of others.

First of all, there is no reason to suppose that the area is rectangular as opposed to circular or triangular or some other simple or complicated shape. Even if you assume that it is a rectangle, there are infinitely many possible answers: ranging from nearly square areas to extremely long very thin strips.
