Cubic feet to cubic inchesYou are likely to do a lot more unit conversions in future years, so you will want to learn how to do them in all cases, in a way that will allow you to easily spot errors. (This is particularly important if you are going to study physics and are dealing with a dozen or so constants. If you've got the right dimensions and have the order of magnitude right you're probably on the money or close enough for full credit. =) )

Firstly, we are going to convert that nasty cube into single dimensions.

10 cubic feet = 10 * (1 foot)^3 = 10 * 1 foot * 1 foot * 1 foot. (i.e L^3)

Now, we are going to convert feet into the dimension you need.

10 * 1 foot * 1 foot * 1 foot = 10 * 12 inches * 12 inches * 12 inches

Now, that is 10 * 12^3 * inches^3

Which give us 17280 cubic inches.

Change the cubic feet to cubic inches, then multiply that by the number of cubic feet.

10 cubic feet = 1728 (or 12 x 12 x 12) cubic inches x 10 = 17,280 cubic inches.

Oh, dude, let me break it down for you. So, 10 cubic feet is like 1,728,000 cubic inches. Yeah, that's a lot of inches, man. But hey, now you know!

Oh honey, 10 cubic feet is 1,7280 cubic inches. So, if you're trying to cram something into a space that size, good luck! It's like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, but in inches.

Assuming you mean in cubic inches:

1 ft = 12 in

→ 1 cu ft = 1 ft × 1 ft × 1 ft = 12 in × 12 in × 12 in = 1728 cu in

→ 10 cu ft = 10 × 1728 cu in = 17280 cu in.
