If you mean to compare them just for yourself, take a piece of paper and fold it in half lengthwise. On the left side start with 0.0, 0.1 and so on, one decimal number on each line until you get to 0.6. Now, on the same beginning line on the right side, write 0.0 through 0.8, one decimal number on each line. Notice which side has more 0.__ numbers.
You could compare them to a US Dollar which is 1.00 -- remember, every dot number can be made into hundredths-- just add a zero (0.10). Borrow a dollar bill and 20 dimes from your mom or dad. Lay your dollar bill at the top of your desk or table. Separate your 20 dimes into 2 piles, 10 dimes in each pile. On the left, count out the same number of dimes to go from 0.10 to 0.60 (should be 6 dimes). On the right, count out the number of dimes from 0.10 to 0.80. Notice that one pile of dimes is bigger (more) than the other pile. Notice you have 4 dimes left over on one side, but you only have 2 dimes left over on the other side. (Don't forget to give the money back to your parents.)
There are many ways to visually "compare" numbers using every day items, or money, so you can see what they equal.

.06 is because the way of looking at a decimal is below: 0 . 0000 The first 0 before the decimal point ( . ) is where the whole number is given. The 0 after the decimal point is marked where the Tenths are. the one next to the tenths are the hundreds. then the thousands, then the Ten Thousands, and so on..
