How do you do fraction in its simplest form?

The numerator of a fraction is the number on top and the denominator is the number at the bottom.

1. Search for a common factor, of the numerator and denominator. That is a whole number that goes into both of them evenly.
2. If the only such number is 1, then you are done. If not,
3. Divide both the numerator and denominator by that common factor to give an equivalent fraction with a new numerator and denominator.
4. Go back to step 1.

Answer 2

Find the GCF of the numerator and the denominator and divide them both by it. If the GCF is 1, the fraction is in its simplest form.
