To multiply any number by 11 the following simple method can be used:

Add a zero to the number being multiplied and add it to the original number.


Examples:


To solve 11 x 15

150 + 15 = 165


To solve 11 x 350

3500 + 350 = 3850


This method works with any number:


Here is an example of simple 11 x 9

90 + 9 = 99


Here is another example 11 x 5657

56570 + 5657 = 62227
