How do you group things together?

You have to observe the things and see how they are alike and how they are different. Pick one thing that they all have for the first group, then start picking out differences until everything is in a separate group.

You simply define a group and either:

• list the members of the group, or
• provide a rule which will allow you to decided whether or not something belongs to the group.
