The Equation 7-x=12 can be solved as follows. First the X should be made positive (which can be done my moving it to the other side of the Equal Sign. 7=12+x. Then, the X must be made to be by itself, by moving the 12 to other side of the equation this can be accomplished. 7-12=x (remember that when you move a value across the Equal Sign it changes from positive to negative and negative to positive). After this you solve 7-12=X (7-12= -5) X= -5
