Any percent that needs to be written as a decimal is actually a lot easier than you might think. Think of 1 as a whole, or 100%. If you need to write 80% as a decimal, all you do is write your percent value (in this case 80) behind the period, like so: 0.80. 0's in a decimal are also read as blank, because in theory, they could go on forever, like: 00000000.8000. That looks much more confusing than just putting 0.8, or .8. If the 0 is before the last number, like 0.07, then it needs to stay there. So, the correct way to write 80% in decimal form would be either of these: 0.8/.8
