It will take a minimum of 138 tiles. But it could take a lot more depending on the shape that you need to cover. For example, if it is a long narrow strip which is 1.1 ft wide then, unless you want to have a huge amount of mosaic, you will need 251 tiles.

Each tile will cover 4 square feet. This gives you 138 tiles to cover the area.
