1 mile = 5280 feet

Area of circle is pie(3,14 approx) times radius squared. (Times itself)

Radius is half of diameter.

Diameter is Radius divided by pie.

Acre is 43560 square feet.

So. Diameter is 5280/3.14=1681.53 approx.

Radius is half that or 840.76 approx

Area 840.76×840.76×3.14=2,219,594.97 square feet or

50.95 acres

Sorry.. edit... diameter is circumference (not radius) devided by pie. Typo
There are 640 acres in a square mile. This conversion is based on the fact that a mile is equal to 5,280 feet and an acre is defined as 43,560 square feet.

The question is what is the area if the CIRCUMFERENCE is a mile? Not the radius or diameter (that’s easy).

An acre is 4840 square yards. If the acre is a square, ie has all sides equal and all angles right angles, the length of a side is the square root of the area, ie 69.57 yards, so the perimeter is four times this, or 278.28 yards.

Circumference = 2 pi R

R = circumference / (2 pi)

Area = pi R2 = (pi) x (circumference)2 / (4 pi2) = circumference2 / (4 pi)

= 1/(4 pi) square miles x (640 acres per square mile) = 50.93 acres (rounded)

The area of a shape does not provide enough information to determine its dimensions.

Even if you assume that it is a rectangle, there are infinitely many possible answers: ranging from a nearly square area to an extremely long, very thin strip. At the very least, it is approx 739.9 feet.

An area with a 1-mile circumference would have roughly 640 acres. This is because 1 mile is equal to 5280 feet, and a square mile contains 640 acres.

1 acres = 4 046.85642 square metersTherefore 10 acres = 40,469 m2
40,469 m2 = 201 X 201 m

Therefore circumference = 4 X 201 m = 804 m

How many acres is in an area with a circumference of 87 miles?

To calculate the area of a circle with a circumference of 87 miles, use the formula: A = (πr^2)/4. First, find the radius (r) which is 87 miles / 2π = 13.8 miles. Then, calculate the area using the formula: A = π * (13.8)^2 / 4 = 188.5 square miles. Finally, convert 188.5 square miles to acres by multiplying by 640 (since 1 square mile = 640 acres), resulting in approximately 120,640 acres.

If a circle is 3.4 miles around how many acres is it?

To find the area of a circle given its circumference, we use the formula A = (C^2) / (4π), where A is the area, C is the circumference, and π is a mathematical constant approximately equal to 3.14159. Plugging in the values, we get A = (3.4^2) / (4 * 3.14159), which is approximately 0.72 acres.
