1.85 cubic yards...probably 25 bags or so
Half a cubic foot.
100 cubic foot bags.
That's 13 cubic yards of mulch for every 2 inches deep.
To calculate the volume of mulch needed, first convert the dimensions into cubic feet. The area of the playground is 125 feet × 60 feet = 7,500 square feet. With a depth of 6 inches (0.5 feet), the volume is 7,500 square feet × 0.5 feet = 3,750 cubic feet. Since there are 27 cubic feet in a cubic yard, divide 3,750 by 27 to get approximately 138.89 cubic yards of mulch needed. Thus, you will need about 139 cubic yards of mulch.
3 inches = 1/4 footVolume = (308 x 1/4) = 77 cubic feet.That's (77/2) = 38.5 bags
1 cubic yard will cover 15 square yards at 3 inches deep.
5inches
It depends on how thick the mulch is applied. For example, if applied at an average depth of two inches, the cubic yard of mulch will cover 162 square feet. If applied at an average depth of four inches, half that area or 81 square feet, etc.
Half a cubic foot.
25 cubic feet or about 1 cubic yard.
100 cubic foot bags.
A ruler or tape measure is the best unit to make the measurement with. Once you finish the measurement, you'll probably want it expressed in terms of cubic feet, to take to the garden shop and buy the bags of mulch.
That's 13 cubic yards of mulch for every 2 inches deep.
One cubic yard will cover a 324 square-foot area with one inch of mulch. However your mulch should be 2 to 3 inches thick to maintain moisture and prevent weed growth. Be careful not to go to thick or you will cause mold to form in the mulch.

The area covered by one cubic yard of Mulch is dependant on the depth that themulch is applied. At 3" it covers 108 ft2, at one inch it covers over 300 ft2.The 'square feet' of area that it covers is 324/(depth of the mulch, in inches)
Depends on the commodity. 300 cubic inches of mulch and 300 cubic inches of cement will not weigh the same.
