If you've gone 42 miles then you've gone 42 miles and the equivalence in kilometers is irrelevant.

However, I guess one of the miles in your question ought to have been kilometers:

  • How many KILOMETERS would you have travelled if you went 42 miles?
0.6 miles = 1 km

→ 42 miles = 42 ÷ 0.6 km = 70 km

  • How many miles would you have travelled if you went 42 KILOMETERS?
1 km = 0.6 miles

→ 42 km = 42 × 0.6 miles = 25.2 miles

It should be in Kilometres not miles in the question.
Therefore: 42 ÷ 0.6 = 70 kilometres travelled.
