NO¬!!!!

Think of the number line ;-

...-28, -27, -26, -25, -24 , -23 ..... -1 ,0,1,2,3, .....

Lesser values greater values.

From this you should be able to see that '-27' is less than '-24'.

Casually, think of frost/cold. It is colder when the temperature is '-15' than when it is '-10'.

The modulus of the number is greater |27| > |24|, but the negative changes all that !!!!!

No, -24 is more than -27. Imagine negative numbers as money. If someone were to hand you $50 and you decided to pay one or the other which would give you more money on hand. -24 would give you three extra dollars.
