I dont think I'm gonna answer this the way you want me to, but this is the qualified answer of someone with 33 yrs. in the business. who learned the trade as an apprentice under a master of tattooing. {Well He was a legend in his own mind}

Wanna sound like a professional??? Then quit calling the Sacred Tattoo MACHINE, a gun...Guns kill people, Machines Make the guns that kill people....THAT's the difference.

Sounds like you got a 'starter kit', the bane of professional tattooing's existance. And the lil' pamphlet you got with it wasn't very detailed...

Ah well, to answer your question it depends on the effect you want your line to make..Best bet is to find a goodprofessional tattooist around your area and bug him til' he takes you in. Hope this helps........
