It is mentioned in the Wikipedia, in chapter on Big Bang that extrapolation of the expansion of the of the Universe backward in time using general relativity yields an infinite density and temperature at finite time in the past. Let us discuss the practicality of the statement. The temperature can be extremely high, say billions or trillions of kelvin. You can add more zeroes. But there is no figure like infinite or last figure. So it not possible to have infinite temperature in any given mass. We tend to dismiss very large number as infinite. (Human brain is a wonder. It starts processing the information gathered through sensory perceptions since birth, probably. It is most irritating to process the information beyond the perception for every body including myself. For example if you divide one by two, you get half. You again divide it by 2 you get 1/4. Then 1/8. Then 1/16. Then 1/32. Then at forty sixth step you get 1/703,687,441,776,64. Now you are very near to zero. With each step you go close to zero. As your speed/distance becomes half. You multiply the above figure with 703,687,441,776,64 and you again get the number 1. If you multiply this figure with zero then you do not get one but you get zero. So this fraction is not zero. So if you take such 1000 steps, you will get very large denominator. In such case you just dismiss the figure as negligible and tend to call it as zero. You have million or billion or trillion digit figure as denominator. Still you can revert to number 1 by multiplying this fraction with the same figure. So again this figure is 'not' zero. Now as your imagination fail to note the size of the fraction, you call it zero. But again this is not true. You can not get 1 number by multiplying zero with any number. So this process approaches the zero. But you can not quote the denominator which will make it zero. Even trillion* trillion digit will not make it zero. You go on writing as many trillions as you want. You do not get the figure zero. Same is true for infinite also. You multiply 1 with 2. You get 2. You go on multiplying the figure with 2. you will get 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128.At forty sixth step you get the figure 703,687,441,776,64. Now with every next step you get the bigger and bigger figure. If you take 1,000 such steps, you get very large figure. Very shortly you will get the million, billion or trillion digit figure. But this figure is not the infinite figure. For all "practical purpose" it is the infinite figure. But in fact it is not the actual infinite figure. You can never show the figure, which is "actually" a infinite figure. The process in unending on either lower or upper side. You will have to revive the calculations based on that very low figure is zero and very high figure is infinite.

So when ever it comes to process the information beyond perception, you tend to neglect the same by either calling it zero or infinite. So to accept the ignorance hurts one's ego. It hurt my ego also, to admit the same.)

Why light don't travel at an infinite speed?

Because at infinite speed, it's mass will become zero, which is not possible as it consists of photons which are not massless particles.

What's the pressure of 3.54 g of NO gas?

To calculate the pressure of a gas, you need to know its mass, molar mass, temperature, and volume. With only the mass of NO gas given, it is not possible to determine the pressure without additional information.

How are temperature and air mass related?

For a given volume and pressure, the mass of the air contained in that volume (density) will decrease as the temperature increases.

Is it possible for the mass to have infinite density?

It is possible for the mass to have infinite density at the point known as, the black hole. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With respect to the expert answer given above. It is by no means proven that "mass can not exist without volume" this is because mass and energy are equivalent. Applying traditional logic and physics to a description of a singularity is not possible at the moment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You are very correct. Mass and energy are equivalent. Then who told you that the energy does not occupy the space? I want you to remind that the light is hold back by the black holes due to gravitational force. The light rays get bent when passing near to black hole. That means the light rays has got the mass. It is our psychological reaction to neglect very minute particles as having zero mass and very little space occupied as zero space. (Dr. Ashok Deshmukh.)

How do you find volume when only the mass is given?

It's not possible.

Is the set of all possible outcomes always finite?

No. If the variable is continuous, for example, height or mass of something, or time interval, then the set of possible outcomes is infinite.

How do you find mass when given volume temperature and heat capacity?

This question requires density to answer. Density is a ratio of mass to volume, and is dependent on temperature. Materials do have variable density based on temperature. The equation for density is mass/volume.

What happens when you decrease mass in a given volume of air?

The temperature and pressure rise.

Do gases always have a definite volume for a given mass?

no, it depends on pressure and temperature as well

How do you find a mass of a substance dissolved in a solution given temperature and joules?

You can find the mass of a substance dissolved in a solution given temperature and joules using the relation q=mc(change in T). Where q is heat in joules, m is the mass, c is the specific heat capacity, and T is the temperature.

Does a black hole have infinite mass?

No, a black hole definitely does not have infinite mass. In some mathematical models, there is an object called a singularity, inside a black hole, which has infinite density. That is not the same as infinite mass. If a finite mass is contained in zero volume, then the density becomes infinite. We do not have any real confirmation that such a thing as a singularity or an infinite density actually exist, but they may.
