Many households have a microwave oven, a dishwasher, and other electric appliances. The main functions of a kitchen are to store, prepare and cook food (and to complete related tasks such as dishwashing). The room or area may also be used for dining (or small meals such as breakfast), entertaining and laundry.
When rounding a number such as 380 to the nearest hundred, we use the following rules:
A) We round the number up to the nearest hundred if the last two digits in the number are 50 or above.
B) We round the number down to the nearest hundred if the last two digits in the number are 49 or below.
C) If the last two digits are 00, then we do not have to do any rounding, because it is already to the hundred.
In this case, Rule A applies and 380 rounded to the nearest hundred is:
400
1000
1804
549 and 450 rounded off the nearest hundred is 500
Since 839 is less than 850, round it off to 800.
10 to the nearest hundred is zero.
86 rounds to 100
599950
It is 100 when rounded off to the nearest hundred
It is 8999950.
999999 rounded to the nearest hundred is 1000000 or one million
You can round off to any values such as the nearest odd number or the nearest tens or hundreds etc.
3045 rounded to the nearest thousand is 3000. When rounding a number to the nearest thousand, you look at the hundreds place. If the hundreds place is 5 or greater, you round up; if it is less than 5, you round down. In this case, the hundreds place in 3045 is 0, so we round down to 3000.
