Yes.

No. There are things mathematically called 'negative ' quantities.. If you talk about distances on a graph, we call movement to the right- positive , and movement to the left - negative . You needed to define what you mean when you are using the word distance. When Land Surveyors measure distances they frequently need to use the negative sign to indicate very clearly what is to be conveyed to the reader of their information, especially when they are doing surveying of levels and heights under bridges and in tunnels etc.

The absolute value is the distance form zero. It is always positive.

Can the distance covered by a moving object ever by zero gess than give an example?

No, the distance covered by a moving object cannot be less than zero. Distance is always measured as a positive value. If an object is moving, it will always cover a distance greater than or equal to zero.

Why is the absolute value of a number not always positive?

Absolute value is always positive. Absolute value is the distance away from zero. Ex: |-4| = 4 |4| = 4

Is the absolut value of a number always non negative?

yes. This is because absolute value is in which you find how far away a number is from zero. This means that the absolute value is always positive.

What is the position of zero force if a positive and negative charges are separated by a distance?

The position of zero force if positive and negative charges are separated by a distance would be at half of the separation distance.

Will positive numbers always have a higher absolute value than the negative numbers and WHY?

No. The absolute value is the distance a number is from zero. It is always represented by a positive number. The absolute value of any positive number and its negative counterpart is the same.

When you add two positive integers their sum is always a positive integers when you subtract two positive integers is their difference always a positive integer?

diffrence will always be positive except when it is zero but is you speak of substraction operation it can be positive negative or zero

Are an integer and its absolute value always opposites?

No. The absolute value refers to the distance between a number on the number line and zero. Because it measure the distanceto zero, the absolute value of a number is always positive. So, any integer that is positive will be identical to its absolute value.

Can absolute value ever be negative?

No. An absolute value will always be positive, as it is a measurement of distance from zero on a number line.* * * * *Pedantically, not quite! It will always be non-negative: it can be 0.

Is -14 the distance from 0 to -14?

No, a "distance" should always be positive or zero. If a subtraction gives you a negative number, just take its absolute value - that is, remove the minus sign.

Is the sum of a positive and negative number always positive?

No. Such a sum can be positive, negative or zero.

Is the distance of a number from 0 always positive?
