The five senses in one word.

"Awareness".

And when all senses are directed inward and 'centered' as opposed to outward it is called "unity" and means whole-ness or holy-ness. Any slight deviation from True center is called "missing the mark" another word for "sin". The greater the deviation from the one True center the greater pain from suffering. This is called "self-awareness". Higher self-awareness means less suffering.
